Okay, this might sound a bit tacky, but amongst our group of friends, we kind of call ourselves Pret7el (for no particular reason other than the fact that there are seven of us). But that’s not the point of this post, is it? Throughout the, more or less, two years we’ve all been together, I’ve noticed that even though we’re all close friends, we all have very different personalities, which in turn infers that we have different senses of style.
So, one day, I asked my friends to dress in something that reflects their personality. Here’s what we came up with…
Lynnette is quite conservative, but it’s cute that she finds ways to jazz up her outfits with girly pieces. She loves roses and I always love seeing how she incorporates them into her outfits.
And then there’s me, I have quite a loud personality, so I like to amplify that with my outfits lol. As some of you may or may not know, I really really love fashion from older eras. Most of the time, I take style inspiration from the 80s or 90s. Here I am bringing the 90s vibes with my graphic shirt and the classic flannel around my waist.
Jam, who is my bestest friend ever, also shares a love for grunge-ish 90s fashion. She often wears skater skirts and combat boots, but this time, she went for a subtler option. I absolutely love her mixed fabric jacket (let me borrow it sometime, m’kay?).
Now I think Jeanky’s fashion sense is really adorable and really reflects her personality. She was also pretty boyish when we were younger, but as we grew older, her girliness started to come out. But I love how she still keeps some of the boyish touches in some of her outfits.
Kristine is a lazy person. ‘Nuff said. So she likes to stick with the comfy stuff. I think her lazy outfits give her a sort of girl-next-door look. A t-shirt, hoodie, and a comfy pair of jeans are her staples.
I guess Chelsea is the most innocent amongst us friends and she likes to show that with her outfits. She likes wearing things that are quite classy and girly. Although, sometimes when she’s sporting something laid back, she likes to show her weird side (through socks).
Here comes our maknae (acc. to Urban Dictionary, Korean term used by older people, generally young adults, to refer to the youngest in a group). Although she is the youngest, she’s the most Punk Rock out of all of us. I ABSOLUTELY love Jill’s sense of fashion. She loves bands, so she likes showing this in her outfits. PS. I love 5SOS too hehe.
